Thou Shalt Know Yourself and Know Your Niche!

Ok well the time has come to spill the beans. I've had so many people asking me lately how I am building my internet presence so fast and popping up all over the place in the media and online etc. So I thought what would be cool this week is to show you what it's like to nail your niche and know you're target audience inside out. It's amazing how well I know you really. You'd be blown away at all the little things I know about you. I know about your struggle and your chaotic mind. You're a creative or a creator and you're not happy unless you're making or producing something. It could be something as simple as a family photo album or you're taking a language course. That's how it starts.

When you have a good day you feel so high and know that you can change the world with your message. On a bad day you feel like... well let's be honest here. You feel like crap because you expect so much from yourself. How can you get your message out there in a big way and change your world if you can't stand out online or off? Why can't the people hear what you're saying? How come they don't get your message?

But those small tastes of victory when you sign someone to your programme, get a new client or receive some lovely words of gratitude give you hope because you're an optimist. You can see the big picture but the small details often trip you up. You have a huge heart and you work with integrity. If something's not a good fit for your values then you find it hard to promote your products or services to your ideal clients. Sometimes you feel like you're dying inside because it's frustrating when you see others doing so well and you just can't seem to stay in flow. How do I know all this?

I know it because that was me at different stages of my career. Your perfect niche will always be the one you identify closely with. When I started in business things went fast for me but there have been many dips in my valley during my creative life. You can share your struggles, your journey and your victories as things begin to turn around for you. If you're further along in your journey and are getting good results with your business, recognition and making money then I know about that too. But remember the dips in the valley will always appear at some point so be prepared and work on yourself. Always be a student first and don't let arrogance get the better of you when things are flying. The relief you feel when you've finally been able to work this stuff out is immense. Finally you can splurge a little on your family and send your kids to those wonderful clubs and schools.

I also know that although making money is important to you it's not really why you're here. You may still think it is but trust me, if it was just about the money you'd have quit long ago. I started my first home business with a goal of earning £500 per month! Can you believe it?

Since I went online I learned how to earn that for sending out one email. The reason I was thinking so small was because I was on another mission and the business was just going to be a way to pay some bills. I wanted to complete my English Literature studies and hang out with my kids every day so it was as simple as buying time and paying some bills. I didn't have a big business vision but I knew that if I could find a way to share my words in some way I'd be able to do something great. That's why I thought English Literature would be a good idea... I wanted to be an author. But oh my authoring has come about through entrepreneurship not through grammar and essays! And so my home business venture began and it's taken me all over the world and on a far bigger course of study than the Literature programme ever did. Because I've become a doer not just a student as I hope you have already my dear reader. Thou shalt know yourself and know your niche.

Ok well that's quite enough for today - you can see I know who you are.
